COD Board Candidate Frank Napolitano Opposes $750,000 Buyout for
COD Board President

January 22, 2015 - Bloomingdale, Illinois - The College of DuPage board of trustees is scheduled to vote Thursday night on a buyout package for its president that would give him more than $750,000 in severance payments and bring his controversial tenure at the publicly funded community college to a close, according to a breaking news story in the Chicago Tribune.

A draft copy of the proposed buyout agreement, obtained by the Tribune, shows college President Robert Breuder would be paid more than twice his base salary when he retires March 31, 2016. His contract is set to end in 2019, according to a college spokesman.

Even as their leader exits, those on the board continue to perpetrate the same underhanded scheming that has besmirched the reputation of the College of DuPage and the taxpayers of this county. I strongly oppose this action by the board of directors and am running for a seat on the COD Board to restore principled leadership in this fine community institution.
